Students forget an average of two months’ worth of learning during the summer vacation unless they have regular reviews of their knowledge and skills.  The learning loss is even more dramatic for those students with learning differences. 

When they return to school in the fall, students are presented with new material, making the summer loss even more difficult to regain. Not only have students forgotten knowledge and skills, they often have forgotten how to study as well.  Fortunately, it does not have to be that way.  With the Lear Advantage of One-to-One Academic Coaching and Scholastic Tutoring, your student can soar instead of slide!     

At Lear Educational Center we assess and reinforce foundational knowledge, filling in any portions of a curriculum that the student might have missed or might have misunderstood. New material is presented step-by-step with the student demonstrating his understanding of the new material, having his questions answered and his new knowledge reviewed.  Mastery is achieved before progressing to the next step.  

At Lear Educational Center we provide One-to-One, Individualized Academic Coaching and Scholastic Tutoring on all levels, primary through college, for most subjects and for most standardized tests.  Study strategies, learning and executive function skills also are taught so that our students can best meet the classroom challenges of today as well as those of tomorrow.

At Lear Educational Center we interface with schools, working with the curriculum appropriate for each student. We specialize in teaching students with learning differences, helping them further develop and expand upon their individual strengths, as well as meeting IEP and remediation goals. Our programs foster enthusiasm, comprehension, and retention so that students can effectively progress through more complex levels of study.
